Monday Scout Troop

The Scouts are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of a three year programme.  “Participation” rather than meeting set standards is the key approach and for the Scout who wants to be recognised for his or her achievements there are a number of Challenges Awards and Activity Badges.

Scouts take part in a balanced programme that helps them to find out about the world in which they live, encourages them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit and helps develop their creative talents. It also provides opportunities to explore their own values and personal attitudes.

We are a very active Troop and, as stated above, we are operating a three year programme with the express intent of every Scout being able to achieve the Gold Chief Scouts Award should they so choose.

The Monday Troop is led by a team consisting of Graham Hannam (Scout Leader), Lindsey Parkinson (Assistant Scout Leader),  Colin Wilkinson (Assistant Scout Leader), Michael Wilson (Assistant Scout Leader) and Karl Seddon (Occasional Helper); along with a growing team of Young Leaders.

Do you think you have what it takes to help out?  Be it as an occasional helper or as a uniformed leader – just give us a nudge by using the contact us link in the top left of the site.
