Scout Section Meeting 10th October 2016

For all Scout Parents, as we advised last week, we will be meeting at 7.00PM on Monday in the car park opposite the Royalty Pub on the Chevin.
The Scouts will then be walking from there back to the Scout Hut. With a pick up time of 9.00PM.
Please ensure that they are wearing walking boots and a waterproof coat and that they have a working torch.

Please don’t be late as we must set off at 7.00PM promptly. Any questions, please ask.

10th Airedale Scouts call to action

The 10th Airedale Scout Group are participating in the Scout Associations “A Million Hands” project through which half a million young people are committed to removing social barriers, connecting communities and improving lives.
Our Scout Group decided that we would take up Disability as our issue within the Project and selected Epilepsy Action as a local charity with whom we could build a relationship, help raise funds and raise awareness of the problems faced by people living with epilepsy.

The Scout Memorial Project

The Scouting Memorial Project is a national campaign designed to raise awareness of “Remembrance”.
It aims to raise funds to build and maintain a Scouting memorial to remember those who have given service to Scouting and their communities, especially those members of Scouting who have suffered through conflict.

Family Fun Day – 7th September 2013

Have you ever wondered what Scouting is all about?
Well this is your chance to find out…
On Saturday 7th September 2013 the 10th and 12th Airedale Scout Groups are having a joint Family Fun day at Bramhope Scout Camp site from 12:00 to 18:00.
There will be various bases where you can indulge yourself and your Beaver, Cub or Scout in Scouting Activities on site.  We don’t want to spoil the surprise by telling you too much about the activities, but it will include things like Archery, Climbing, Pedal Karts, Obstacle course, …

A reminder that it is the County Fun Day at Bramhope this Saturday 20th July
Please arrive at Bramhope at around 10.00 and go down the main drive to the turning point, unless you are staying and need to park. If possible, could adults staying on site share transport, or got dropped off if at all possible, as parking will be a nightmare!
Cubs  need to be in uniform for this event; if it is hot they should just wear Cub polo shirts and neckers and …
